CAREGIVERS MINISTRY
The mission of the ministry is to visit congregation members who are housebound, hospitalized, in nursing homes, and in personal-care homes. While this ministry is predominantly comprised of Lay Servant Leaders who are trained in varying areas of servanthood in the United Methodist Church, it is open to all who are called to join.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MINISTRY
The mission of the ministry is to facilitate spiritual growth in children, youth and adults through age appropriate instruction, provision of resources and opportunities for development.
MEMBERSHIP MINISTRY
The mission of the ministry is to create opportunities for continuous involvement of church members in the life of the Church by inclusion in new disciple orientation, confirmation and support. Included is the reclamation of returning members.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTRY
This mission of the ministry is to empower healing and wellness in the congregation and the community through information, education, and the provision of opportunities to assess critical healthcare needs.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY
The mission of the ministry is to undergird the Church Ministry, members and the community with prayer. All are invited to participate and to grow in prayer.
STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY
The mission of the ministry is to promote partnership and cooperation among all of the ministries and to assist the congregation in learning ways of service and support of the Church Ministry with their time, talents, tithes, gifts, prayers, presence, service and witnessing.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE MINISTRY
The mission of the ministry is to provide spiritual support and nurturing to Salem families who are experiencing terminal illness and/or bereavement. They also provide support during Celebration of Life Services with ushering and with the repast for the family.
